Mid-Weekend Update

We are super excited that it's a 3 day weekend so that we can get a lot of work done on the house. If you are ever bored this weekend, come on over and lend a hand!

Front yard

The pile of dead juniper has now overtaken our driveway... We need to find someone to haul this stuff away! Our neighbor was nice and said she'd fill up her truck to take a load to the dump next weekend. Mike and I are thinking it'll take 10 loads to get it all out, so I may call around to a few tree/garbage removal services to see how much it would cost to get rid of it in one go.

Kitchen

Mikes was really excited this weekend because both the dry wall lift and finishing nailer arrived in the mail! Do you remember the old kitchen ceiling?

Mikes started by putting dry wall up. Turns out it is easy with the lift!

Then due to some generous donations to the Tanana demolition/renovation project fund, we were able to afford some recessed lights! woo-hoo!
