Mike and Astro All Alone

So with Heather gone this weekend I kinda took it easy on the whole renovation thing. Went to a Bees game on Friday and the Brewvies on Sunday. In between all that, I did manage to get some key things done. First, I got some people to finally haul away the junipers (they came at 9pm at night...but they brought a ton of help!)
Now we can actually park in our driveway!


My next project was to replace the weird flush lights in the entryway with some new recessed lighting.


I did get the lights in, but I need to run a new line from the breaker box. Turns half of the house was on the same circuit as the those old lights were. Fire danger! Especially with the old knob and tube wiring. Maybe I'll do a wiring post later on....with pictures of the 1908 attic! Most people probably are used to seeing newer modern wiring...I'll show you some scary stuff before we get the guy out to fix it.
