Once upon a time Liv and I read The Nanny Diaries together. As a result, we started saying "Man oh man, Nanny" a lot. Since then we have picked up and gone through many more bizzaro phrases. I think I just found a new one: "Okey Dokey Old Man Smokey, here's the news."
Questions:
1. Where did I find this?
Liv posted about Lisa Mitchell. Checked out the website and spotted it.
2. Do you need to say the entire phrase?
2. Do you need to say the entire phrase?
While ideal, this is merely optional. It is also entirely acceptable to just say "okey dokey old man smokey." However, I would discourage anything shorter.
3. When it is appropriate to use said phrase?
3. When it is appropriate to use said phrase?
For announcements: "O.D.O.M.S., here's the news: Astro caught his first squirrel in Park City yesterday."
For clarifications: "O.D.O.M.S., here's the news: the squirrel was already dead."
And in other situations when feeling compelled.
