Bar App

Applying for the Utah Bar is a crazy ordeal. First I had to take and pass that ethics test. Then I had to fill out a 40 page application, trying desperately to recall every place I have lived and worked in the past 10 years. Then I had to make requests at both the Maryland and Utah DMVs to get my driving records. They want to know everything. Literally. Including my credit score.

And then at the very end you have to include 3 attorney references and 3 general references (from a non-relative, non-law school acquaintance). It's been a never ending process. But hopefully I will have it in tomorrow... after all, it's due Monday. And guess what? In case $550 were not enough, if you're 1 day late, you have to pay an extra $200.

It's tough trying to become a lawyer.

Good thing I have this little guy to come home and snuggle with at night. Oh yeah.. and Mikes too.
