A Great Day

Today was pretty awesome. I woke up, contemplated going on a quick 2miler run with the A-man, but decided against it, thinking I would take the day off. Instead, we went to the AVENUE'S STREET FAIR!! I love the street fair. Mikes accompanied me and astro for a couple blocks before peacing out, muttering that the only things sold at the fair were women's jewelry and hippie clothes.

Astro and I had a good time at the fair. I love jewelry and acquired a couple pieces which gave me a great idea for Christmas presents. Astro was adored by all and picked up lots of food scraps from the ground.

Then, I met up with Liv and some other p-town friends for a book signing at King's Bookstore in Sugarhouse. I haven't read the book yet, but bought an autographed copy anyway since the girls said it was worth reading. We had fun waiting in line to meet the author and got Chiptole afterwards. Normally not a fan of the rice and bean combo, I ordered tacos and thought they were super tasty. Love those girls.

Then, I came home and Mikes said he was going on a run up City Creek. I moaned thinking of the steady incline the run entails, but ultimately decided to go with him to get my long weekend run over with. Much to my amazement and excitement, I did a 10 mile loop and Mikes did an 11 miler. Pretty awesome. My calves were burning on the way down, but we did it! Now I'm not as freaked out about the upcoming 1/2 marathon.

Having burned a ton of calories, Mikes and I picked up a pizza and relaxed to a cheesy romantic comedy, An Accidental Husband.

Overall, a great day.
