When Mikes and I got married, we first lived in the dump known as, The Deep Home. I tried to spruce up the place with some homemade curtains and paint. It helped a little. Good friends Meryl and Dan have continued to transform the Deep Home after we left so that it actually looks like Graduate Students live there, instead of hobos.
When Mikes and I first moved to Utah, we acquired all our furniture through craigslist and an occasional estate sale. Most of our pictures consisted of College photos (naked boys playing whiffle ball at the Dartmouth Grant - seriously - and smiley girls around hanover).
Since we have become homeowners (and therefore real adults), I feel the need to upgrade our decorating. There's a really cute place in P-Town that has some great stuff that I would love to add to our house. Unfortunately, the price tag of designer furniture is a little outrageous. We bought our couch and loveseat off craigslist for $300 three years ago. Can I really splurge $3000 or more one just one sofa?? If I could, I would totally buy this grey one:

Doesn't it look soo comfortable?? Doesn't a design consultation sound like fun? I wonder what they would come up with for our house...
Aside from a new couch, I also want to get rid of these coffee/side tables. But Mikes is being really stubborn and saying it all has a green theme. boo. guess that means I need to save up until it can all be replaced in one big swoop ... preferably while Mikes is gone hiking for the day.
