When my friends started having babies, you would hear every once in awhile about tearing. That doesn't sound too great. Then someone told me that you can't get groovy with your spouse (if you know what I mean) for six weeks or so (if you even feel like it). More recently I've been told you bleed so much for so long that I should invest in some depends. Another (active) woman tried to go running sometime after she had her baby and felt like her insides were going to fall out.
Holy moly.
I had originally intended to try and go back to work as soon as possible after the bebe arrives. But now I have no idea what will happen. Will I get depressed? Will I want to stay in bed all day and never put on anything besides sweat pants? How long will that last? How long can my mom come out to help me? Do I want to find another job right away after my contract ends, do part time, or volunteer for a month? There are a lot of things that I don't know and will make no attempt at predicting.
I DO know that I am super excited to have an addition to our family, especially to find out the gender on monday. I know I have a great hubby, family, and in-laws who will be supportive. So here's keeping my fingers crossed that the joys of motherhood will outweigh the downers.

It's hard to know what you'll feel like after you have the baby! I felt like a crazy person for a while but some girls feel normal right away. And yes - even if YOU feel like exercising you need to wait or your insides might fall out... I'd plan on taking it easy for at least 6 weeks - the sooner you let your body fully recover the better off you'll be. Anyways! You'll do great - just give yourself some time to figure out what you want afterwards!!!
