Avenues Street Fair

I look forward to the Avenues Street Fair every year.

I love stopping by my friend Elizabeth's booth and buying a few things (she sends the proceeds back to her native Kenya).  I also pick up the usual stock of gourds for my dad.  Then, we get something yummy to eat (this year it was a Navajo taco, since I'm so bad at making them myself, and a snow cone).  Usually I love looking at the jewelry, but when Mikes is with me, I can't linger too long.  I only picked up one bracelet.

Really wanted one of these, but Mikes says we've reached maximum capacity in S' room.... Lisa, please let me help with your baby shower so I can decorate with fabric garlands.

Now we are home relaxing with the family.  We made it before the big downpour.  Hooray!

Lovin' the weekend so far.

Aw, looks like fun! I want to learn how to make fabric bunting like that. I keep meaning to figure it out but I start, then fail, and give up. Learn how to, then teach me!

Wish we could have been there to enjoy all the yummies!
