S and I flew out to Denver on Friday night to spend time with my college buddy - Lisa. She is expecting her first baby (a boy) in just a few weeks! Hooray! I am so excited for their upcoming addition. I just wish we lived closer!
We spent time catching up, talking about the horrors & joys of newborns, hiking outside, and celebrating at her baby shower. S got to test out a lot of their baby gear, including the backpack and stroller.
Tin is ready for fatherhood - what a pro:
Lisa's older brother had a girl just a few days after us. She was such an easy going baby (it's true - I was a little jealous! S seemed very high maintenance in comparison).
Overall a great weekend! Until we got on our flight home Monday morning...
S threw up on me 4X during the flight. Thank goodness it was only an hour flight. We spent the rest of the day in survival mode on the couch. I think we both went through at least 5 outfits. We were trying really hard to prevent Mike from getting sick, so he stayed in the basement and ran the errands. At one point, S really scared me when she started choking on some mucus and couldn't breathe. I was so startled I started crying.
It looks like we are on the mend today. She hasn't thrown up since 8pm and started having wet diapers again. I hate having a sick baby (so sad), but it was kinda cute to have her be so snuggly.

jealous! I feel ya on the whole high-maintenance baby piece...we spent a few days with a new nephew in fl last weekend and Chris and I marveled at how chill he was compared to L! She is just a bundle of energy! I always love hearing parents of teens or older kids say, "Oh my so-and-so was unbearably fussy...or never napped...or cried all the time..." and then thinking, "well, he/she is pretty normal today!"
