Happy Mother's Day

 Hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's day!  Mikes made sure that I was not forgotten.  I tried to get S to display the card, but she was more interested in looking at it herself.

Last year, I was 8 months pregnant and thought motherhood sounded awesome.  This year, I am exhausted all the time and frequently wish for breaks from motherhood.  Nonetheless, I sure love my little girl and am glad that she is a part of our family.  I'm going to miss spending so much time with her once I start working full-time again at the end of the month...

Both my own mom and Mike's mom have also been such great examples to me.  I hope S picks up Grandma J's patience (I certainly don't have much) and Grandma D's generosity (I'm also a scrooge).  Hooray for mothers!  It is not an easy job, but it is certainly rewarding.

We are super excited that my parents will be a little closer to us this next year.  I love visiting Maryland, but having them nearby will mean Mikes and I will have weekend babysitters close to Indian Creek!
