Daddy Time

Grandma and Grandpa T are coming into town!  So, this weekend I popped into the office to get in a few hours so I could hang out with everyone during the week.  While I was in the office, Mikes took S out on a hike.

She sure loves her Daddy time!

S is moving to a new day care at the beginning of September because our current sitter is returning to teach elementary school.  It was a little bit of surprise, so we actually need to find someone to watch her the last two weeks of August.  I'm hoping to wrangle my brother and mom into doing it...

It'll be nice to have the stability of a regular day care center with professionals.  It is also in the Avenues so it is pretty much on my way to work.  Only problem is we need to get S off bottles completely.  She's been using sippy cups for awhile for water and sometimes milk, so I thought it would be a lot easier than it's been. Sometimes, she just won't drink milk out of her sippy cup.  I'm not sure whether I should get different types of cups (because she does drink out of the ones we have) or let her go without milk if she won't drink it out of the cup.  Thoughts?

She's also suppose to be down to one nap a day. She could probably do this if she got a full 12 hours of sleep at night. But sometimes she only gets 10.  If I get home from work late, by the time we eat dinner, play, take a bath, whatever, 9pm easily sneaks up on us.  And, I kinda don't want to put her to bed earlier than 8 pm because otherwise I wouldn't get to spend that much time with her during the work week.

man oh man.  the woes of a working mom.

Aw, I am so in love with that picture- so cute!

And, ugh, that all sounds so stressful. So the rules of the daycare is no one with bottles and only one nap a day? That's annoying to have to figure it all out so fast. Good luck lady- you can do it!

sorry about the changes too! talk to your doc about milk. friends i know (whose husbands are peds) have had kids who refused milk altogether, and they did fine. the main thing is that she should be getting enough calories...some kids do it differently. does she drink from a straw? Luci likes that kind best...

and that sucks about one nap. :( what if she just can't?? (just curious) the daycare I worked at at Dartmouth had kids transition to one nap around 18 mo, and before that they were in a baby room.

Some crazy rules they have! No bottles?? Seems like that would make their jobs easier! Hope it works out for you!
