Californ-i-a

A couple months ago, we flew to Palm Springs for a memorial in honor of  Mikes' grandma.  I'm sure I've said it before, but I have always been jealous of people who grew up knowing their grandparents. All of my grandparents passed away when I was really young, so I have really enjoyed getting to know Mikes' grandparents.

We are sad that grandma bama passed away, but she lived a very rich life and I'm sure she is lovin it on the other side.  The trip was really fun to spend time with family and share memories.

It's hard to catch a good photo of the family these days...

S and her cousin C are a hoot.

We did a mini trip to Joshua Tree while in California.  S loved the rocks.

She also is obsessed with water lately.  Good thing the hotel had a million little pools throughout the place to cool down in the 100+ degree weather.

Quality time with family.

S is such a cutie she can talk anyone into carrying her around, including Uncle Dave.

Normally we spend Thanksgiving with the Tananas back east.  But this year is the first year in several that we are planning on staying put. That means we won't see everyone until Christmas!  Boo-hoo!
