A kitchen I can eat and cook in and like to look at

Finally, we have finished the kitchen and are able to put away all our appliances, cookware, and supplies. It was quite the process!

A few people told us to try painting the tile, so we gave it a try!

First, I sanded and sanded away at the tile. Man oh man, was that exhausting. Then I primed all the tiles. Twice.

Next, I painted the white tile brown.

Then, I painted the teal tile black and added a metalic paint on top. Once that dried, I ragged on the metallic activator. it was a little trickier than I thought it would be because it kept dripping down the wall (didn't think of this since I had applied it on a flat tester board and not a vertical wall... but I think it still turned out ok).

Finally, I used one of Cynthia's awesome stencils to decorate the backsplash behind the stove.

Ummm... I LOVE IT! I wasn't sure when you said you painted the tile what that meant but this looks SO SO GOOD! Can't wait to see it in person!
