Where Have You Been?

With family in town, Mikes' Man Trip, school just around the corner, and general laziness, there have been few posts.

But no one just sits around doing absolutely nothing (generally speaking).

So, this begs the question... what has been going down at the Tanana abode?

While Mikes was roaming around Wyoming, I spent a bit of time with my parents, Hanna-bones, and cousin Arlinda in P-town. We went to Education Week classes, ate lots of fattening foods, and caught a couple evening shows.

I attended a couple concerts with friends. Tuesday night, The Dead Weather played at the Depot. My bangs are about the same length as the main singer's. I wonder if I can pull off that look...


Thursday night I came back to meet up with Mikes and Cephas to catch Iron and Wine's free concert at the Gallivan Center. We have long loved Iron and Wine (some of you may recognize his song Flightless Bird from the movie Twilight). We squished our way up to the front and had a really good spot during the concert. Who would've thought this crazy lookin' guy would have such a great voice and be so awesome at guitar?? I probably would've thought he was a homeless man if I ran into him on the street. A perfect "don't judge based on appearances" example.


School starts on Monday. Yikers. I have a renewed determination to be organized this year. We'll see how long that lasts. I also hope to have a blast of energy to finish up some little house projects since I know I won't be doing much housework during the semester. Or actually... I know I won't be doing any housework during the semester.
