Moab 13.1 the Other Half

Holey moley - I just ran 13.1 miles. The longest I've ever run in my LIFE. And I couldn't have done it without this person:

Lisa and I set a goal over a year ago to run a half-marathon. We ultimately settled on the Moab Other Half because of the beautiful course. It was seriously sooo awesome running along the Colorado River, right pass the Fisher Towers.

This guy was also a key to my success:

He got me through my first long run and kept me motivated to stay in shape.

Lisa and I stuck together while Tin and Mikes ran ahead. We are super proud of ourselves for meeting our goal of running NON-STOP even up the hills and averaging 11-min miles. Not too shabs.
We had to wake up insanely early (5:10am) to pack up our tent and be at the bus in time to make it to the start line. It was chilly! I have zero interest in doing a full marathon. Not sure I even want to do another half- marathon again. I felt great during the race and afterwards, but my legs have slowly started to feel the wear. Still, it was great to do and will really make me appreciate a nice little 10k.
