Okay, so we didn't make it to Nordstroms. But Mikes and I did go out for Chinese and I went to Joann's fabric to get baby quilt materials!!!
I used to love quilting, but haven't touched a sewing machine in years. In fact, when we moved to UT, all my sewing materials got left behind in VT. When I went back to pick them up, my friend had already thrown them out, thinking they belonged to no one! NOOOO! I totally forgot how expensive quilting supplies can be until I needed to pick up new ones: a cutting board, the rotary cutter, acrylic rulers, etc, etc.I am pretty excited about making a baby quilt. Sometimes I feel like I used to be such a creative person but haven't done anything artistic in awhile. So it'll be nice to make something again.
Still feeling a little sick, but slowly recovering! Mikes leaves tomorrow for a conferences in Toronto where he's presenting a paper. By the time he gets back, the basement will be done! Well, at least the concrete will be poured and it'll be ready for stage 2. Progress. Progress.

Can't wait to see what you make! Something about "creating" something like a quilt is just so satisfying!
Oh! Love the colors of the quilt and only you could be sick and still look like a million bucks!
