S and I got out of the house this weekend. First, we had lunch with some of my lawyer lady friends on friday. Saturday, we attempted to go to the Arts Festival up in Park City, but it was a mad house so we abandoned ship. Instead, we went out to dinner with friends in Salt Lake. Overall, she was a super trooper.
Mike has been thinking about getting away on a camping trip, but I told him he would have to take one of our children with him: S or Astro. We'll see whether he still ends up going. In the meantime, he usually makes sure to spend some Daddy time with S.
I just ran out of maternity leave which means I am working from home the rest of the month (until my fellowship ends). Who knows what will happen after that - I'm keeping an eye out for interesting jobs as well as good day cares/nannies. But, I have to admit.... I kinda like being home with S and watching her grow. The amount of love I have for this little girl has finally overcome the exhaustion and horribleness of the first few weeks.

And I agree, I didn't think I'd want to stay home until I started staying home, now I realize how much I love seeing their day to day progress and everything.
