While my parents were here, we were able to get away for a night sans baby. We've been in Utah for five years and this weekend was the first time I got away to the Uintas! It was surprisingly close and really fun. we went with two other couples and had a nice night full of the best camping food I've ever had and good laughs.
If you haven't been the to the Uintas, I highly encourage you to take the trip. Mike and friends went climbing earlier in the day and said it was very Gunks-like. It's also a good 10-20 degrees cooler than the Salt lake valley, which was awesome given the lingering hot weather lately.
A few times, I seriously forgot I had a baby. Thanks mom & dad!
