Since smithy has started working, I've been waking up with her at 7am. In fact, if smithy starts to sleep past 7am, I find it's my duty to jump on her and bark until she does wake up. Of course, this includes weekends too. I'm afraid if smithy or mikes doesn't wake up at exactly 7am, I'll never get fed!
So, last Saturday, like normal, my internal alarm went off and I hopped out of bed at 7am, got someone to feed me, and then napped a little longer. Then, smithy and mikes took me on a surprise trip! We got in the car and I was so excited. After a quick drive, we pulled into some canyon where we got out to take a walk: AWESOME.
There were ATV people zooming around like crazy, I really wanted to chase them, but it was too hot. When we got to the top, there was a lake with fish in it! Smithy was really mean and threw me into the lake even though she knows I hate swimming. To make it up to me, she gave me some of her sandwich, yum.
Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, we drove further south to check out some llamas. This was my first llama sighting. I'm not quite sure what to think of llamas. They're very rude and kept staring at me. In fact, one tried to kick me when I sniffed it's leg. Then it started chasing me around, Mikes had to take me out of the pen so the llama wouldn't spit on me.
Everyone at the llama festival thought I was the awesomest. Some lady even poured water into a tiny cap for me. Sweet.
