Bedding

In our old house, Mikes and I used to freeze at night due to the poor heating system, so I bought a nice fluffy down comforter. Now, Mikes and I are not only super warm at night in the new place, we are too toasty! We practically turn off the heat at night, which saves us on bills and gets me thinking that it may be time for a new duvet cover.

I bought our last cover for only $20 on sale at Pottery Barn:

But I'm not really loving the design. I think Mikes likes it because it's more masculine than my cute Pine Cone Hill quilt I've been lugging around since college days. A new duvet cover has recently gone on sale at PB, but instead of being $20 total, it's a mere $20 off the retail price:

I think the colors would brighten up our bedroom and help me get through the remaining winter months. But doesn't $79.99 still seem like too much to pay? Maybe it's the frugal way I was brought up that makes me cringe at paying any more than at least 30% off. I have nabbed some great deals in the past, but I also think I have bought things I didn't LOVE (or even REALLY LIKE) just because they were such great deals. So much stress over bedding... don't even get me started on clothes...

On another note, Mikes and Don-Dad are off to hardware city. I hear it's more electrical (Mikes' office light hasn't worked all week...), maybe they'll post about it before the weekend is over!
