What I Do in My Spare Time

The first few weeks of the semester are great, mainly because I get to take it slow. Without the stress of finals, I've had time to read, relax, and hit the gym at least 3 times a week (one of my New Years resolutions to get into the best shape of my life). Here are a couple things I've done with my free time:

LBG Hang Time

I love these girls. Tomorrow is Esther's birthday and to celebrate we went to the Cheesecake Factory. I don't want to even think of how many calories I ate, but it was sure gooooood. Hooray for Esther! She's one of my oldest friends, a great mother, hilarious impersonator, and overall awesome person. Here's to celebrating many more birthdays together!

Organizing my Stuff



I made this awhile ago to organize some of my jewelry. It's getting a little crowded, so might do another one soon. I got the idea from a law school buddy to pick up frames from a thrift store and turn it into an earring holder. Now I just need a bigger one for my necklaces.

I can remember where I got every piece of jewelry that I own. Sometimes it's like going down memory lane when I shift through my goods. Here's a random sampling:
1. Necklaces I earned as a girl in the Young Woman's program at church.
2. Matching heart necklace I got with my first college roomate Katinka in Hanover for valentine's day.
3. Necklace I bought from college buddy Elizabeth who sends the proceeds back to her home town in Kenya.
4. Hair thing my brother Ben gave me after his trip to Africa.
5. Hair thing my brother Derek gave me in high school after his trip to Spain.
