Attack of the Bees

I hate bees. I haven't been stung since I was 7 years old, but whenever I see one, I worry that it'll attack me. After all these years, my fears were validated when Mikes was attacked while climbing. A long lost Dartmouth friend was driving cross country with his sister and stopped through Salt Lake. Mikes decided to take them climbing in Big Cottonwood. Our friend and his sister safely made it up and down the route. However, when Mike started to ascend, all of a sudden a swarm of bees came out of nowhere and started to sting him. I think he was stung 5 times before making it back to the ground. One sting happened to be on his eyebrow, which then caused his eye to swell up. Despite icing it and taking benadryl, Mikes woke up with his eye swollen shut!

Of course that did not prevent us from going out to eat later with some friends.

Today, his eye is still a little swollen, but looking much better.
