Back in the day, Lay and I partnered up for the science fair project. We decided to plant little grass pots, feed it different things and see what happened. Not the most exciting idea, but it had some mysterious results. For example, one day pot #2 had four inches of grass, but the next day it suddenly dropped to one inch (most likely one of my younger siblings had decided to "trim" the grass). Somehow our class voted us to represent at the school fair. So we took our cardboard display and got out of class for an afternoon. To this day, Malea and I joke about how one parent called us "ambitious." At the time we didn't know what that meant and replied,
"thank you!" But now, after gaining some life experience, I realize that the parent hadn't really meant it as a compliment.
True to his word, Mikes took down the ceiling light but hasn't done anything else for the baby's room. I have been trying really hard to get the room done this weekend, which has made me grumpy and tired. It also hasn't helped that Mikes too has been grumpy. So we have had a rough weekend arguing over house projects.
Friday: I picked up drywall primer to put on the ceiling and applied it once I got home. After letting it dry, I started applying the ceiling flat paint but ran out about 3/4 of the way through. Mike wants me to touch up the current brown in the room, rather than repainting the walls entirely. we disagree.

Sunday: I touch up edges and paint the chair rail. Mike won't put up the cha
ir rail. He says he's tired of house projects. I say if we hadn't done the climbing gym, this all would've been done two months ago.
I am tired and in a bad mood.
I think maybe my ambitious nature and pregnancy do not do well together.
I am taking bets on whether or not the room will actually be finished before baby arrives. Still no car seat, but I am suppose to pick one up tomorrow...hopefully that goes according to plan!

Aw, poor Smithy! I'm a gonna call ya right now!
Bwahahaha! I remember laughing so hard through the whole presentation to our class and then for some reason they nominated us! Ha!
I can imagine being a little grumpy that the climbing gym got all done before baby's room, but if she's not here by next week, I'll be done working and I can come help!!! Seriously, call me!
I can bring any stencil you want when I visit. I will have energy to spare and can help with any project. Then we can go to Pottery Barn and put finishing touches on nursery. I cannot wait to hold my first grandchild!
