This morning I took Soryn to her doctor's appointment. It was the first time we've been out of the house since coming home from the hospital. Doctor said she's looking good, like all newborns, she's lost a little weight, but my milk just came in this morning (hallelujah - for serious) so we're hoping to fatten her up again.
I feel as though we are on the upswing of the recovery. I'm still achy and tired and I feel as though my nipples are going to fall off (sorry if that was too much info for you, but this is reality folks). Mikes has been great and came home with Newman's cream, which will supposedly revive my poor ladies.
Emma, Becky and Nizhoni flew back to Maryland today so my mom is staying with us now for the next week. Hanna is also here but starts camps on Monday. Hopefully I will feel good enough soon to start nightly walks (maybe even get out of the house to celebrate the 4th!). I now realize the real reason you don't ask people whether they are pregnant is because there is a good chance they WERE pregnant, but are no longer. I seriously look like 5 months preggers. Man oh man. Good thing Soryn is such a cutie.

Aw, she's so lovely! Glad to hear the milk came in too & sorry about the nipple stuff. That Newmans cream should help. just keep with it. And once milk comes in its easier to use a pump. Good luck sister!
And I totally had a girl ask me if I was pregnant right after Rob was born (I went to by a pack of onesies) She was horrified and I laughed really hard till I got home & it sunk in. Then I cried.
P.S. you look amazing!
so real and right, TMI. but this is for real.
Great goings.
And each day goes by quickly, so savor each one. Precious.
